My Goalkeeping System

Chapter 197 Dominating The Game

The goalkeeper dived toward the ball but it was no use as the ball smashed past his hand making little contact with the tip of his gloves in the process before hitting the back of the net.

"It\'s got in!" Jim exclaimed. "It\'s a goal from Dave Richards right from the middle of the pitch! It\'s unbelievable!"

Unique FC fans broke into cheers and chants of joy as Frankie quickly made his way to the goalkeeper and pulled him down on the floor.

While the fans were celebrating the wonderful goal, most of the people from the other fan base were just too stunned to do anything and a few of them couldn\'t help but commend the goal.

"He\'s been looking for the goalposts since the start of the match and he has finally found it," Steve said. "Unique FC are two goals up now and SD Eibar are just getting swallowed here."

"Shots from his goalpost and now scoring from that far, there\'s no way that you can tell me that that guy is normal," Milkoç mumbled before sitting up against the left post.

"Nice work, Dave," Adolf muttered before patting the goalkeeper on his shoulder and after that, he quickly made his way back to his goalpost.

While the match was about to resume, a few Unique FC fans in the stands who had been watching Dave since the day he made his debut for the club had a few things to say.

"I can\'t believe that\'s the same Dave Richards, he used to be clumsy in the goalpost and made poor choices but now he\'s like a giant rock in between the goalpost, a rock that is hard to penetrate and then you talk about his shot power and accuracy, the guy\'s turning into something of a deadly striking goalkeeper." A lady expressed.

"All I have to say is that his growth isn\'t exactly natural, it\'s like something from a novel, I just hope he isn\'t using any kind of enhancements because that won\'t end well for him and the club is going to get dragged in on it." The man beside her said.

"I don\'t think that\'s the case, drugs don\'t improve accuracy or the ability to tell where a ball is going and stop it do they?"

"No, but they improve speed to be able to make saves like that and also improve strength to be able to fire shots like that occasionally."

The match had resumed now and two minutes had already passed with Eibar still holding onto the ball but they were getting pressurized here.

One of the center backs had almost lost the ball to Fred right inside the box and if that had happened, it wouldn\'t have ended well for them.

"Looks like Unique FC have already sealed this game but anything can happen," Jim said.

"Yeah, but I doubt that they will be able to get past Unique FC\'s defense and get the ball past Dave with the way they are playing now. They should change their attacking approach and they should do it fast if they want to make an impact in this match." Steve expressed.

"I agree."

The Spanish side were still with the ball, the central midfielder moved a little closer to the middle with the ball and just before Martinez could get to him, he passed it to the right midfielder who was quick enough to break past Harry with the ball.

He raced down the right with Unique FC players chasing him from behind and Jonas waiting for him to get closer.

The midfielder was planning to pass the ball to anyone close by to avoid losing it but just then, he spotted Borja making a run into the box while raising his hands and calling for him.

The midfielder did just as he was told and pushed the ball a little bit forward before he sent it flying into the box from the top.

The ball seemed to have been overhit and had gotten close enough for Dave to spring up and catch it.

"That was over hit and Dave is there to take it," Jim said.

After catching the ball, the goalkeeper didn\'t waste any time and quickly rolled the ball to Roland who had been keeping his eyes on Frankie who was open on the right.

He pushed the ball toward the direction before he sent it flying to him from the top.

"Nice move from Roland, Frankie\'s got the ball and he\'s got a lot of space here," Steve said.

Frankie wasn\'t the only one who had the space to do something, Fred also had space in the middle but two players were closing up on him from the left and two players seemed to be hot on the midfielder\'s trail.

He knew he didn\'t exactly have the pace to keep up with those players at this point in the match, so he passed the ball to Fred, who quickly pushed the ball forward and zoomed past both of the players right from the middle.

"Nice work from Fred and now he\'s one on one with the goalkeeper!"

Fred quickly rushed toward the goalkeeper who was quickly heading toward him at the same time and just as he got close enough to him, he attempted lobbing the ball past him but his lob wasn\'t that good and the goalkeeper ended up making contact with the ball and knocking it out for a corner kick from the left side.

"What a save from Milkoç and what a horrible attempt from Fred," Jim said.

"He should have gone for a direct shot instead of trying to finish off with a classy lob," Steve said.

"This was your chance to get a goal and you messed up again Fred," Norman said before sticking both of his hands into his pocket. "I think it will be best to give Fredinho and Gregory more playing time in the next matches.

"Unique FC have a corner kick now, another chance to triple their lead after Fred failed to do it, that was supposed to be an easy finish." Jim expressed.

Frankie was standing over the ball waiting for the referee\'s whistle and it didn\'t take long before the official blew his whistle.

The midfielder wasn\'t in a haste to take the corner kick as there was no reason to be in a haste, the clock was showing sixty-two minutes and they currently had a two-goal lead.

He studied the movement in the box for a while before he pulled his leg back and sent the ball flying into the box from where he was standing.

The ball was quickly nodded away from an SD Eibar player but it was quickly recovered by Mateo at the edge of the box.

The winger avoided a deadly slide to get the ball into the goalpost and once he was in there, he feigned shooting at the goalpost to get the players rattled up before he quickly passed the ball to Carlos who was surprisingly unmarked on the right and had a clear sight of where to put the ball from there.

"Carlos is open here!" Jim exclaimed.

"There\'s no escaping this one." The winger muttered before he sent the ball flying toward the goalpost, many would hold back on their shot being that close to that goalpost but he didn\'t hold back one bit.

"Carlos!"
