Chapter 345 - 345: The Moment of Social Death

As soon as she stepped out of the car, two rows of people suddenly lined up on both sides.

Then, one after another, fireworks burst into the air. Accompanied by the intermittent popping sounds, little colorful sparks rained down on Luo Yings head and body, which accentuated her beauty.

The hired photographer captured numerous stunning shots that would last a lifetime.

“Sister Ying, welcome to my humble abode. You’re a mighty woman who can do whatever you want, and you have the world in your hands!”

The overwhelmingly loud chant made Luo Ying wish she could just disappear.

She managed an awkward smile while internally chastising Su Li.

If she’s guilty, let the law deal with her, not subject her to this spectacle in broad daylight.

Su Li strolled through the crowd. “Welcome, leads, to the theater.”

In the span of this day, Luo Ying felt like she had lost all dignity. She strongly suspected that Su Li had gone bonkers due to some shock.

Amidst the commotion, the two of them finally managed to enter the meeting room.

“First and foremost, it warms my heart that both of you could return. I truly

thought my directorial dreams would end here.” Su Li’s eyes glistened with the hint of tears.

For his first time directing, so many accidents had already occurred in this drama. One could only imagine how much pressure he’d been under during this period. Upon closer inspection, Luo Ying noticed he had gained quite a few white hairs.

“I’ve been refining the script these past two days. In fact, we’ve already finished shooting nearly two-thirds of the scenes. Luckily, some of the more challenging action scenes have been captured, and the focus moving forward will be on some romantic scenes. You won’t have to perform overly complicated actions, which is beneficial for your recovery,” Su Li explained. Both Luo Ying and Xie Yun nodded in agreement.

Xie Yun’s heart brimmed with delight. Romantic scenes… He quite liked the idea, hehe.

In the afternoon, the production team officially restarted filming.

Luo Yings recent illness had caused her to lose a bit of weight, which caused her original costume to hang a bit loosely. Yet, on camera, she looked even more resplendent and captivating. She was like a fragile willow braving the wind.

Meanwhile, Lu Zhao flipped open his phone and saw the official promotional image sent by the “Prime Minister” production team.

In the photo, Luo Ying wore a light pink dress that was adorned with a cascade of vibrant fireworks. Her smile was sweet and adorable, and the viewers were unable to look away.

Lu Zhao frowned.

As expected, this woman was immensely ambitious. Why would she listen to him?

But she truly was beautiful to the point where he couldn’t divert his gaze.

After a whole day of acting, Luo Yings waist and back were sore. Her body hadn’t fully recovered from her injury, and even a short sprint left her breathless.

Nevertheless, she did her best not to hinder the theater’s progress. She didn’t want to delay the entire production team due to her own situation. Finally, when they returned home and switched on the lights, Lu Zhao’s intensely imposing face greeted them.

Luo Ying was startled.

“Why… Why did you come back so early today?” she inquired. Her guilt was evident.

“If I hadn’t come back soon, you would’ve gone up the mountain to chop firewood,” Lu Zhao quipped while approaching her.

In the dim light, she could almost hear the man’s heartbeat. Her ears slightly flushed.

“What were you up to?” Lu Zhao asked. His gaze was penetrating.

Luo Yings eyes darted away. “Oh, I was just going to have some afternoon tea with Shen Lan. Hehe.’

Luo Ying blinked and attempted to play it cool.

“Oh? And who’s this?” Lu Zhao pulled out his phone. A captivating image of Luo Ying at the theater’s entrance met his gaze.

Damn it. Why did Su Li use her photo for an official poster?

Luo Ying looked at Lu Zhao with a touch of innocence. “Oh, honey, I’m sorry. I just went to take a quick look.”

“It’s not that I don’t want you to work, but your body needs rest…” Lu Zhao’s sentence was abruptly cut off as Luo Ying gently kissed his lips.

“Forget words. Just kiss me,” Luo Yings voice lingered in the night and added an intoxicating allure. Lu Zhao’s desire ignited, and he kissed Luo Ying with fervor. Their heated exchange eventually led them to the bed. They were both breathless and eager.

“You can pursue your career, but you shouldn’t exhaust yourself. And I’ll be over after work to keep you company. I don’t want to be your assistant; I just want them to know I’m your husband.” Lu Zhao’s voice was seductive yet earnest as he outlined his terms..
