Chapter 279 End Of The Expedition (Part 2)

Jake took his time to explain how he couldn\'t escape the boss area, and that he didn\'t intend to barge in.

And to appease the guild leaders of the three guilds, obviously, he had to bring forth the items that were supposed to be their share, even though they did absolutely nothing to help.

Splitting up the loot took time, and finally, everyone reached an agreement and were content with what they got.

"So then. Let\'s move forward. We have beat the bottleneck that every other guild was stuck at." Lone Wolf smiled.

Jake took a deep breath and sighed.

"I thought the same as well. But it seems as if we are not allowed to take a step beyond that wall." He shook his head with disappointment.

"Apparently we have to wait for another expansion pack. This is something that I truly did not expect. Nova was not prepared for someone to clear this expedition." He said.

"So we have to wait for the next update to come in before we can start the expedition?" Phoenix raised her eyebrows.

"Apparently so. Well, there is nothing that we can do about it, unfortunately. You can go further in to recheck, but I took my time to make sure what I saw was true." Jake said.

"For now, Bright Horizon will be stepping back from the expedition and will wait for the next update." He sighed.

"Interesting." Lone Wolf mused.

"This might be a blessing in disguise. While we truly did get further than every other guild or alliance, our reliance on a crucial few was painfully clear. With the gap that was forced upon us, we can take time to level up the majority of our ranks to the second tier." Lone Wolf suggested.

"Who knows? Maybe there will be a few who are crazy enough to be able to level up to the third tier, and that would help us cruise through this expedition when the time comes." He said.

"That is a good idea." Jake nodded.

"It will take at least a month or two for the next update to come in. There is no way they have the update ready or they would have released it along with the major update." Jake said.

"So we have a few weeks in our hands to truly bolster our forces. We will meet up here when the next update comes. Until then, it is time we break." Jake nodded at the three guild leaders.

All of them nodded at each other, and turned back to go to their own encampments to break the news to their own guild members.

Jake spoke to Myriad Arrows and Kierch to the side while the other guild members were drowning in their success.

The gravity of this was too underemphasized.

They had done what every other guild was not able to. They were able to clear the bottleneck that Aries and so many other guilds couldn\'t clear.

"We should start looking at other training grounds." Jake said softly.

"I agree. The Silversword fields and the raid have outlived their usefulness." Myriad Arrows nodded.

"I am positive that we have milked the two grounds for all of the possible loot. We are not even breaking even anymore if we continue raiding those places." He said.

"Every one is on an average at level twenty five or thirty. With these levels. We can try to take a level forty leveling ground and try out our luck." Kierch suggested.

"Even if the monsters are too strong, everyone will be able to hone their fighting ability, and every kill will give them massive gains. The whole guild will be able to level up exponentially till level forty." He said.

"That is…. Not a bad idea." Jake nodded.

"I know just the right ground to start that experiment. We will try that out until everyone hits level forty, and after that, we can try switching grounds until we can get the average level as high as possible." He said.

"Don\'t raise your expectations too much. To level up to this point took us long enough. To get to level forty will take everyone much longer." Kierch shook his head.

"If we are lucky, then in the next month, around fifty percent of our guild will get to the second tier. And that is the most optimistic case." Myriad Arrows pointed out.

"We can push them to the training ground and try leveling up a core few in another place. Maybe the colosseum." Myriad Arrows suggested.

"Yeah. I have a few dozen in mind. They were all pretty useful in this expedition. We can take everyone to the colosseum." Jake agreed.

"The colosseum? The roman one? There\'s one here?" Kierch raised his eyebrows.

"The benefits of riding with me." Jake chuckled as he turned to look at the guild members who were trying to be as loud as loud could be.

Shaking his head, he took a deep breath.

"ATTENTION!"

Immediately, the uproar died down, and slowly, every guild member started to look at the direction that the noise came from.

Seeing that their guild leader was in front of them, trying to say something, they shut up immediately.

"We have reached a point that no other guild has gone to before." He smiled.

"Dozens of guilds failed. And yet, once again, Bright Horizon has written history. We are the first to clear this segment of the expedition." He nodded.

"But the expedition is not over…"

The speech lasted long, and Jake tried to make it as inspirational as possible. What other way would he force them to start leveling up like mad men?

And at the end, the guild erupted in a loud cheer as everyone started logging out for their long awaited proper break.

Jake turned back to Myriad Arrows and Kierch.

"Time to go battle hunting?"
