Little Tyrant Doesn't Want to Meet with a Bad End

Chapter 647.2: Sia’s Gift (2)

He could hardly remain composed as he looked at Carolyn, who was shrouded in darkness.

The Savior’s power was formidable, but it was extremely hard to control. The turbidity of Carolyn’s mana reflected how far the Savior’s depravity had affected her, and in her current state, she was already on the verge of losing herself to insanity.

Roel couldn’t understand why she was taking on such a huge risk to continue the fight with him.

Has she lost her judgment due to the depravity? Or is there something else at play here?

Even now, Roel still didn’t know the full picture behind the final plan, but it didn’t look like he would have the chance to learn about it from Carolyn anymore.

The black-armored Carolyn overlapped with the fiend titan’s silhouette, combining the power of the ancient god together with the Savior. With all preparations in place, she began her assault.

With a powerful spring that cracked the ground, she propelled herself forward like an arrow and swiftly closed the gap with Roel.

In response, Roel raised his palm and inundated the area in front of him with a white light.

Unlike the power of the Six Calamities, this white light was not destructive in nature. There was not the slightest damage to the surroundings. Yet, the wriggling darkness around Carolyn was extinguished like fire before water.

“!”

Upon realizing that Roel was taking away her power, Carolyn changed the trajectory of her movements, but the area of the white light expanded to wherever she went. It was impossible for her to avoid the white light.

In the end, she decided to charge straight ahead and quickly end things.

She drew her arm back. The fiend titan’s silhouette mirrored her action, as she imbued the Savior’s power into her fist. Then, she unleashed the fist overflowing with an aura of depravity on Roel.

Roel raised his palm in response.

The fiend titan, as a force that used to oppose Sia, had some resistance against the powers of the Six Calamities, but things were different now.

Under Sia’s magnanimous holy light, the fiend titan’s strength waned. The almost transparent barrier in front of Roel was like an insurmountable hurdle; all the fiend titan’s fist managed to do was to shake it a little.

“That is…” Carolyn murmured in astonishment.

“It’s the barrier Sia used to exile the Titans. It’s a cage they can’t escape with their powers. The Fiend Titans are no exception to the rule,” Roel explained.

“But that doesn’t apply to the Savior’s powers, right?”

A stream of darkness surged forth from Carolyn’s body.

A portion of the darkness charged straight at Roel, whereas the other portion flowed up like little black snakes and converged into a black sphere. The black sphere felt heavy, and it generated a powerful suction force that pulled everything into it.

Under Carolyn’s unimaginable power, dirt and gravel were swept into the sky, and the clouds and the moonlight were devoured by its darkness. The ancient gods were stunned when they sensed the aura, and they cast their gazes over.

“That thing doesn’t carry the aura of depravity?” Edavia exclaimed in incredulity.

The fiend titan’s attacks became even more frenzied upon seeing hope for victory. It tore itself away from Carolyn and unleashed a barrage of attacks to shake Roel’s defense.

Roel’s expression turned grim. Looking at the black sphere Carolyn had manifested above her, he realized that this was the Savior’s old power, before He fell into depravity under the influence of the Black Moon.

He had initially thought that the black sphere was an ordinary bundle of the Savior’s mana, but he had clearly thought too simply. There was an order to the black sphere, reminiscent of the Savior’s spells in the Witness State.

The Savior’s mana carried the element of insanity and depravity, making it unusable like wastewater. Yet, Carolyn managed to cleanse it of its depravity, allowing her to properly use it. With this power, she would be able to pose a threat to Roel even in his current state.

Roel knew that he had to make a move right away.

The white light around him began to swell, then without any warning, the barrier protecting him suddenly vanished. The fiend titan immediately made use of this opportunity to hurl its massive fist at Roel, but the ancient monster no longer posed a threat to him in his current state.

A holy candle flame lit up in Roel’s Inner Sanctum.

The holy flame flowed through his soul as a medium and rushed out of his body, manifesting as a blinding radiance. He channeled the energy from the holy flame into his fist to propel it forth.

Boom!

The fist smashed into the fiend titan, resulting in a violent explosion. A cry of agony ensued.

The sheer impact crushed the fiend titan’s shoulder and jolted its arm into bits, and the holy flame further reduced those bits to cinders.

The attack’s shockwave surged into the sky as a spiraling flame, but before the flame could dissipate, it transformed into a glowing ice pillar that plummeted onto the fiend titan. The ice pillar firmly pinned the ancient god down, preventing it from retreating toward Carolyn.

Realizing that it was cornered, the fiend titan desperately absorbed the surrounding mana to launch one last attack, hoping to bring its enemy down with it.

Grar!

An aura of depravity spewed into the plains, as the field titan temporarily dragged its corporeal body out of its exile and back to the real world. Thanks to that, Roel was able to witness a titan in the flesh for the first time.

Unlike the Giants, the titan had a bulkier stature that was reminiscent of a rock. It had no hair, its eyes radiated a fierce glint, and its breathing naturally released black flames. A malevolent aura could be felt rippling from it, almost like an evil god emerging from the underworld.

The younger ancient gods who had never felt such a malevolent aura before quickly backed off, whereas the older ones such as Edavia were horrified. All living beings in the area shuddered in fear. Yet, Roel wasn’t intimidated in the least.

On the contrary, his fighting will was stronger than ever.

This fighting will was spurred by the desire to protect one’s offspring, manifesting from kindness, justice, and many other emotions. It served to judge the selfish and the violent. When he sensed the titan’s malevolent aura in his current state, he immediately vanquished all hesitation in him.

I have to destroy that being!

He channeled the Crown’s Stones within him, and the ice pillar transformed into a holy light that imprisoned the titan and absorbed its malevolent aura. There was only one exit to the cage, and that was where he was waiting with his fist.

A holy radiance gushed from his fist, like light emerging from the darkness. It represented the hope that good would triumph over evil.

Faced with the flood of holy light, fear momentarily flashed across the titan’s eyes, but it quickly turned into zeal. It swung its only remaining fist forth, as it opened its huge mouth that spanned half of its face to devour the holy light.

However, it soon realized that it was the one being devoured, not the light.

Due to Light Devourer’s trait, the titan was unable to devour the holy light. Instead, the holy light pierced through the titan’s defense and quickly gobbled up all of its mana. Terror surfaced in the eyes of the all-devouring titan, but it was already too late.

Its rocklike body collapsed, and the light in its eyes faded. With a wail of agony, the ancient monster died. All living beings in the world were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief.

Bam!

The titan’s humongous body was reduced to countless rocks that fell to the ground. Behind its collapsed body, Carolyn emerged with a floating sun above her.

With the defeat of the fiend titan, Carolyn was finally alone. This ancient sun was the last ace she had up her sleeves, as well as the final obstacle standing in his way.

Knowing that, Roel fearlessly took a step forward.

Meanwhile, there was a slight spatial ripple not too far away from where the battle was.
