Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 188 188: The Trial Of Irma Phoenixborn IV

The moment it became obvious that the Dremonai was going to attack, Cole reacted in turn as he grabbed the seat that was besides him and chucked it straight into the unsuspecting And rapidly approaching face of the Dremonai. It didn\'t help matters that Cole had actually thrown the chair while the Dremonai was mid air into his leap over the dais. The grunt of pain he gave was extremely satisfying as he crashed to the ground.

Everyone else in the room reacted as they all opened fire on Cole, he promptly used [Fade] to vanish before using [Shadow Dance ] to show up behind the Dremonai and human soldiers holding Irma\'s father captive. His appearance was shocking enough that they could not react on time to his presence as Cole gave a massive clothesline to one of the Dremonai, turning the creature inside out as it spun a couple of times into the air while Cole spun with his momentum and smashed his clenched fist into the jaw of the human Guard.

The individual\'s head burst open like a melon as his body remained standing for a few seconds, blood spurting up into the air and showering everyone in close vicinity in it. One of the council members screamed out in shock, particularly the woman who had been responsible for the illusion that kept everyone hidden…. Looks like she wasn\'t built of sterner stuff. There was one other Dremonai left, and she took the initiative to attack, swiping at Cole with elongated Claws that he ducked under. He opened his palm wide and faced it upwards as his own claws slid out of his fingers.

He slashed upwards, ripping her open from groin all the way up to the bottom of her chin that he promptly sliced to ribbons, leaving her deep grooves in her face as she gave a gurgled scream, and fell backwards. Lightning blasted into Cole sending him across the room and in the direction of Irma. It even in the midst of the pain he felt he spun his body in the air and fired off Blue Obsidian, a trail of reddish blue fire blasted out of the chamber and took the Dremonai holding Irma hostage in the head. Two things happened, first the bullet blasted his skull apart and smashed into the wall behind, leaving scorch marks all over its pristine surface. Then his body caught on fire and turned to ash promptly as Cole landed feet first on the ground.

He still had a bit of momentum from the lighting strike as he skidded backwards a bit until he was shoulder to shoulder with Irma. Her father let out a wave of fire from his body as everyone around him scattered, but not before a few of the Dremonai and the human guards were turned to ash in the process. Unfortunately all of the councilor members were intact with the woman who had been particularly filled with animosity towards Cole standing with a massive gun/Cannon pointed in their direction and sizzling with lightning.

One of the men pulled out two massive shields from God knows where, his eyes turning red as he smashed them against each other and prepared himself for a charge. The woman with the illusions had made a beeline for the exit, but an Irate Neral was in her oath with two massive cannons on both sides of his body pointed at her. From the look of things it seems the Cyber dog really did get an upgrade. And finally the second man was floating in the air, his entire body wrapped in shadows as whips of them stretched out of his form, giving him a more eerie look than normal….Cole got a worrying feeling from him.

Obviously the level of strength the man could bring to bear was probably something he was not yet sure he would be able to stand up to. But be that as it may, Cole\'s particular skill set were fashioned to help him fight above his weight class. He wouldn\'t be surprised if he was actually able to kill gods at his current state. But then again that might be reaching for the stars, just as he had his titles and buffs, then most definitely others had it. Ultimately in a fight it was not just going to be a battle of skill against skills, but buffs against buffs. That left quite a bit for Cole to think about, but this was another thought to be shelved for later, but ultimately this meant that he was not as OP as he thought he was.

Cole pulled out Black Sapphire as his group of three starred off against their own group of three. The illusionist woman was on the ground wailing, missing a leg. Or rather that was what she wanted them all to think as Cole could see her trying to circumvent Neral in order to escape the room. In all honesty Cole felt that she was the most dangerous here, even he would be affected by what ever illusions she created for a few seconds before his [Sin Seeking Eyes] would kick in and expose everything to him. Frankly speaking that was a few seconds too long as a quarter not a second was enough time for someone to end up dead.

Never the less it was a stand off that Cole promptly put an end to as he pulled the [Black Sapphire] trigger. The was deafening bang accompanied by looks of surprises as Cole had aimed in a completely different direction. Heck it even looked as if it was Neral he was aiming for as the Cyber dog was still standing in front of the door, completely unaware that the fourth council member was about to escape. The bullet took her by the hip, completely shearing her legs off and freezing the wounds shut in the same process as she let out a scream of pain.

Her illusion shattered like glass, reality quickly reorienting itself to normal. She cradled her now missing leg, gone from the hip, looking back and forth from the wound, to the missing limb and back to Cole who had caused her the injury. And through it all she was still screaming in pain, but all of her screams were brought to an abrupt end as Irma waved her hand and the woman caught on fire, or rather it was not that she caught on fire, but rather fire came out from inside of her and burnt her to a crisp. Cole shuddered, the sight was absolutely terrifying.

"You used her own body heat to incinerate her…. Wow, at your age I did not have that much control over my flames. You\'re something kiddo, really something." The Chancellor said to Irma who scoffed as she said to him.

"Is that your way of saying that you\'re proud of me? Because if that\'s it, the attempt absolutely sucks." The older male version of her shrugged his shoulders and said nothing else, looks like he was a man of a few words, but never the less just as Cole could see it from his posture, he was sure Irma could see it too. The man is proud of his future arsonist daughter…. It was sappy and it made him sick.

"This is supposed to be a trial, you all are criminals." The woman who supposedly was the spokesperson for the rest of the yelled at them, Cole rolled his eyes as he fired back.

"Just Because you say something is a particular way doesn\'t mean it\'s true or I have to agree with you. And for your information I am not a criminal, do you know why? Because anywhere I go, wherever the fuck my feet shall tread….my Word Is Law!" Cole vanished from sight as he used [Spectra Rover] to run through the room and appear by the side of the Dremonai he had first attacked with the chair, then proceeded to punt his jaw out of his mouth.

He reappeared then used [Shadow Dance] to jump into the air, evading a wave of lightning that seemed more like electrified limbs, moving about and looking for who to grab and turn to char. Cole ignored it as beast as he could as Irma and her father took to the battlefield, the temperature of the room rising to almost insane degrees. Cole at the peak of his [Shadow Dance] came down, utilizing his mastery of [Gravity] to push himself downwards even faster as he stomped his foot on the back of the Dremonai\'s head, stomping it into the ground and turning it into paste.

In that moment Cole felt his danger sense go haywire as he turned to see the man with the two massive shields slam them both together. Releasing a powerful sound wave that blasted him backwards, head over heels as his ear drums burst and quite a few blood vessels in his body too. His back slammed into the wall, as the back of his skull split open, painting the wall red with his insides. He idly heard Irma scream out his name, as his body slid to the ground, pain all that he knew and could feel, and then finally darkness.
