Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 346 346: The River Bridge I

As soon as the rest of the Raens had picked the entire coliseum clean, they all matched towards the only door in the room. It was massive and had a mural ocean with an island that had the sun rising from behind it in a backdrop. But what was most prevalent was the massive tree that rose up. Cole had no idea what it mean and frankly speaking he didn\'t care, this was a story for some other hero to figure out.

He placed his hands on the door and there was a blinding flash of light. When the light had vanished Cole and the Raens found themselves on a bridge. It was weird, the bridge was made of water and had aquatic life moving through it. He found that they were in a massive space, but everything around them was dark and the only form of lightning they had was from the bridge itself.

Cole could see that the bridge stretched forth into the distance. He turned to give orders but found that once again he was alone. He cursed softly in annoyance, this bloody island was freaking annoying if he had to be honest. Dealing with all of this mind game was beginning to get on his  nerves and given how volatile Cole can be some times that was not a good feeling to be having at this moment.

He picked his steps as he started moving forwards, but he had barely taken a step forwards when his foot sunk into the water bridge beneath him. And the moment it did so the aquatic life beneath all rushed at his leg, and the moment they did so Cole felt an intense drain on all his reserves. He could feel his energy draining at a rapid pace as an intense chill worked it\'s way up his body.

He stepped back, but doing so made him sink even further into the ocean. He only had a second to swear before his entire body fell into the river bridge with a splash. He quickly attempted to use [Gravity] but there was no response. He tired again and again, relying on his other skills to try and escape from this place, but none of it responded. It was as if all that he was, was an ordinary human about to drown in what was most definitely a supernatural river.

He looked around, the fishes were swarming around him, all of them of varying sizes, heck there were sharks and even whales among them. Each and every single one of them had an intrinsic glow to them that came off from swirl like patterns on their skin. They were probably bio-luminescent or magical. But seeing as this was Titan Rising, they might as well just be both.

Whispers filled Cole\'s ear as he struggled to reach the surface, he discovered that while the river bridge had looked to be no more than a meter wide, it was like he had fallen into an ocean underneath. It was as if the fishes were speaking to him, but they were all talking, all at once. It was nerve grating and with the fact that he was rapidly running out of air he couldn\'t exactly pay attention to them.

The water had stripped away everything that he had gained from the event, and all that was left was who he was before the event. Weak, heart broken and totally lost all by himself. Adrift, and knowing what he knows now, he understood that this stage of his life was his lowest. His family was rotten from the very core and he had no one, no one at all. A broken mess of a man who had given it all for love but instead had been mad a terrible joke.

"You have me."

A voice… Cole heard it, but it meant nothing to him. He just kept on fading, falling down, surrounded by weird glowing fishes while the water invaded everything. His body shook as the last of his air escaped him, and then in the midst of is drowning throes he could now hear the fishes, hear their whispers and their words as it filled his ears and heart.

"What is Your Conviction?"

"What is your Faith?"

"What is Your Vision"

"What is Your Heart!"

"What Is Your name?"

On and on again those words seemed to drone on in his head, it left his shaken as he was also suddenly filled with so much doubts. And accompanying it was something Cole had not felt in a very long time; Fear. I could hear death knocking on the door, it was close enough to him that he could almost touch it.

It demanded attention and it offered release. Somehow at the back of his mind Cole knew that should he give in to her calls, then he would be dying for good. 7 lives did not mean shit in the grand scheme of things, he knew this was a cross roads, but this was power on the level of Deraka. He could not fight against it, and he was all alone. Once again the questions resounded in his ears, weakening his resolve as he fell deeper and deeper into the darkness.

And then a voice called out in the distance, sweet and kind. Yet fierce and straight to the point. It was like a light in the darkness, a life line to hold on to. Perhaps his heart was devoid of love, but he knew this voice was a safe place for him, it belonged to him and him alone. It Was Tehila\'s and the only she said was.

"You have me!"

Cole opened his eyes as his heart jolted in fright. He was in the water but face to face with a woman. She was made entirely of the ocean, and she was at least the size of the Eiffel tower. She stared at him with piercing blue eyes the size of billboards. Green and purples and aquatic life as she looked at him with an impassive gaze. Then she spoke, all the voices silent.

"What is your Name?"
