Chapter 491 491: The Next Area

Cole held his gun tight as he moved in a crouch, his senses were functioning at full blast, as he took in and filtered out information at an alarming rate. Enough to even alarm Cole himself. Somehow he was seeing nor just with his eyes, but his heating, his sense of smell and his senses of touch. And also his ability to feel energy, it was crazy how he only now just realized that he had perfect 360 degree total recall of his surroundings in real time.

If a bottle cap comes floating by hidden within a safe that hidden in the wreck of a flying RV. Cole knew it was there from sight, sound, touch and energy sense and this was not divination at work, but his race, his bloodline. A Raen Devil Spawn.

Cole chuckled to himself, he remembered when he first started out with the Raen race. And how much he has grown since then, from diminutive ugly/exotic looking demon to all destroying great bringer of Chaos and destruction. And now he was starting at the bottom of the ladder again, but as a Devil…..it was weird.

Demon, Devil. These things, terms, races? We\'re evil. It was what they represented in every form of text or story that spoke of them. All that is wrong and so rotten with sin and evil the only place they can survive is at the very bottom of the abyss, in the pits of hell. Yet he was one.

Cole didn\'t think he was evil, well to be fair, he did not think evil people thought they were evil either. But still, he has done some evil things in his short stint as a demon and now Devil. Chaos they say….a fancy way to justify a sadistic nature to ruin and mess everything he touches.

Has he always been like this? Has he always been so….. devilish. Perhaps this was not the first time Cole has had to act himself this question, wonder whether everything that\'s changed in him, changed with his body, had not affected his mind.

That was a question for another day though he still had to get through a mine field of man eating space sharks. Excuse me, I meant cyborg space sharks. Extremely powerful ones too, and with an arsenal of half mastered skills and techniques and volatile stats that would sooner be the cause of your own death and the enemies attacking.

Cole increased his pace, utilizing [GravityRings] to keep his own Gravity controlled and normalized around his body. So he did not have to float like everything else. However Cole had to make the rings under his legs, making them as small as possible so that he wouldn\'t draw attention to himself by leaving behind trails of golden light, though if he has to admit it to himself, that would look really cool.

He slid to a stop as he angled his body for a red truck to float past him, his heart almost stopping when he noticed a large but very small octopus of compared to the others he\'s had run ins with, sleeping on the bed of the truck, one of its tentacles floating past just a mere inch away from Cole\'s helm covered face.

He resumed moving, doubling up for lost speed when he stopped for the truck to float past. He ended up some 100 meters to the gates, the duration for [Erasure] about to run out. He ran up and over turned bus and used [Gravity Rings] as soon as he came out of stealth.

The monsters all reacted to his presence almost immediately. They turned, taking that precious few seconds to determine that he was prey and that he was at their mercy. And then they moved, but by then Cole was ready and he dragged his arms down.

The rings above him expanded greatly, dull sounds of explosions echoing as they did so, growing wide and huge, their golden glow setting the entire area awash with light as Cole increased Gravity to the limit he could with the rings….. by 100 times.

Cole watched Impassively, even going so far as to cross his arms to watch as every monster caught within his domain fell to the ground, the harsh reality of gravity and just how powerful it is, was introduced to them in an experience that they would never forget.

[Storm Calling]

Massive bolts of lightning crashed down from the sky along with twisters so large they could have swallowed up Godzilla and his mom for breakfast. It was downright apocalyptic as Cole stood on that overturned bus, raining down the fury and wrath of an angry Devil.

But more than that this was a display, a true full display of power for his assassin. Because Cole knew Azrael was watching so he wanted to make sure the man got a full view of what Cole was going to do to him when he found him. This was a warning, the next time Cole and Azrael met, he would be leaving with a hole in his chest.

Cole walked just as easily and as undisturbed as Azrael had earlier. The smell of ozone and seared flesh filling the air, as he walked past the ruined gates and into the second area. Behind him, a ruined landscape of apocalyptic proportions and lack of gravity hung all the gory details in the air for all to see.
