Dimensional Store System In Apocalypse

Chapter 193: Before Returning (2)

Chapter 193: Before Returning (2)

"You looked like you have something in your mind," Satella said as she accompanied Zhang Qin Feng in his walk around the new base. Although she\'s not psychic, her sense as a woman was much stronger than before, especially with this man.

Furthermore, her acute sense told her that his concern wasn\'t related to another woman but more or less about his power. This was what made her feel thrilled about what is in his mind.

Here in this post-apocalypse, having one or two women wasn\'t a problem, as long the man can provide more than enough to keep them fed and safe.

What was more crucial was the power the man they\'re following had in his grasp. Without actual power, everything was nothing more than a fleeting dream. This was also why Satella agreed to let Zhang Qin Feng do what he wanted with Valerian back then after Valerian asked for Satella\'s permission.

It might seem outrageous, but in this post-apocalypse, everyone had their needs. To Satella, holding Zhang Qin Feng\'s heart as her hostage felt good, but it wasn\'t enough. If she let loose of him a little, Zhang Qin Feng might turn out to be some random base leader that could be replaced the next day by someone else.

And this was something that she will not allow to happen.

"I\'ve just told Victor about this. You should know about it too." Zhang Qin Feng answered and grabbed Satella\'s wrist. The two of them then took a seat on the ruined decorations nearby and decided to went along with the conversation.

"The Gene Modifier Chair that you brought back before this is ready to be used. All we need is to come up with a proper surgery module to let it start to work."

"I should be able to get the program set up in the next few days. But for now, I\'ll need you to work with Victor to choose a few reliable candidates to go with the surgery. I would like you to go for it as well. What do you think?" Zhang Qin Feng brought out what was in his mind.

"I don\'t mind going for the surgery if that\'s what you\'re going to ask. But for the personnel, I\'ll be the one selecting who to go and who\'s not. Would you agree with me?" Satella asked.

"As long it\'s your choice, then I\'ll respect it. But if needed, I\'ll name a few candidates too if I find that they\'re an essential member to our Wind Base." Zhang Qin Feng nodded.

"Of course. If you, the boss, were the one to ask for them to had their surgery to be done, I\'m sure nobody will have anything to say. I\'m taking the lead was because I know that Victor might be a slight bias when it comes to the candidates he would select." Satella whispered beside Zhang Qin Feng.

"Bias? Don\'t tell me that you\'re worried that he\'ll pick the one he has a secret relationship with?" Zhang Qin Feng asked. It seems his guess was a correct one by looking at how Satella\'s brow frown when thinking about that.

Although he had no problem if the members of the Wind Base were related here and there, it seems that Satella had a different opinion for now. And Zhang Qin Feng felt that he had no right to reprimand nor try to change her mentality because it was for everyone in the base.

The rules that everyone\'s life belonged to the Base Leader was not a joke when she mentioned it to the people before joining as members. This means that what Victor and his secret lover were doing is an act of deception in her eyes.

Although Zhang Qin Feng wasn\'t bothered, the rules shall be still practiced to ensure that nobody would follow his track. And suppose it was left without handling it for too long. In that case, it will eventually spread across the base, and everyone would be doing that without control.

"Alright. I\'ll let you have complete control over what to do. I\'ll leave the serums in our room before I\'m leaving tonight, alright?" Zhang Qin Feng said and pinched her chin for staring at him so intensely.

"En."

"Where are you intending to go next?" Satella asked after responding to what Zhang Qin Feng said to her.

"I\'m going to look for Marvin and Liam. I have something to get from them before I\'m going off tonight." Zhang Qin Feng answered her question.

"Then… I\'ll follow you there. I have nothing to do right now." Satella hugged Zhang Qin Feng\'s arm as he was going to stand up from his seat.

"Alright. Let\'s go together. I\'m sure we\'ll have some nibbles to taste when we arrived at Liam\'s place. Did you say that they had their building next to each other because they wanted to make sure the modification can be done at any time?" Zhang Qin Feng nodded and walked with Satella leading the way.

In the meantime, he did not forget to ask Satella about the rumors between Marvin and Liam. It seems that they\'re getting along too well to the point people were suspecting that their orientation was more towards other males.

"That two? Just assume that the rumors were all stupid news. They\'re the most glutton survivors I\'ve ever encountered. And that\'s no thanks to the machine you\'ve brought back." Satella rubbed her forehead when it reminds her of what happened before this.

It seems that their obsession with food even made Satella speechless.

\'What the hell have the two of you done?\' Zhang Qin Feng is somewhat worried about what happened to the two after bringing the food processing machine from his world. Thinking about this, he\'s been ignoring the Digital Mining Machine for quite some time as well.

\'I guess I\'ll have to check what is in the machine when I get back. Perhaps selling it and start to get a house of my own would be a good start.\' Zhang Qin Feng\'s thoughts get creative as they get closer to Liam and Marvin\'s building.

But as he was close to his destination, it seems that an accident happened in Liam\'s building.

**BAM!**

It was an explosion no less than detonating a few hand grenades at once.

"Is that a zombie attack?" Zhang Qin Feng asked.

"Nope. Liam\'s attack." Satella looked angry as she was preparing to kick the door open.
