Chapter 397 - Decisive Moment

Chapter 397: Decisive Moment

Auction Hall, Roxley House.

The discussions were still going on as to how to sort the situation. But the Edwinson Lord couldn\'t get the two to anywhere. It seemed the Old demon was prepared to die at the cost of destroying the capital…

The conditions they had stated were very simple, he was the only one allowed to leave and had to leave everything on him behind as well… but they surely would allow clothes at least….

The old demon outright rejected it….

"You know... you will lose everything, if I kill you right here, right now?" Rayford Kingsman was an unpredictable old man. There was no saying what he would do, he surely could go crazy and sacrifice the capital just to kill this man…

"What is your decision? Die and leave everything behind….or live and leave everything behind him…"

The old demons looked at Kingsman. He knew that negotiation time was over.

Suddenly a huge fluctuation of mana rippled throughout the Roxley district. The old demon\'s face turned grim while the Kingsman smiled.

Immediately mana busted out of their bodies.

"Boom!"

A huge explosion rang out of the Auction hall and it immediately shook the building. Formations immediately lit up and barely managed to support the structure from falling.

Three figures flew out of the auction hall straight into the sky.

"Tsk…" When the old demons saw the night sky filled with complex white runes, he knew he messed up and immediately stopped.

Behind him, Kingsman and Edwinson Lord stopped as well.

"This level of mastery….It can\'t be a Kingsman…" the old demon said as he looked at the formations floating in the sky.

"You surely have got an eye to judge people\'s skill it seems…."? The old demon looked at the source of voice only to see a new person floating above in the sky.

It was someone familiar…..Axel would surely recognise this man as his Professor…

"Why are you interfering in this matter?"? The old demon asked with killing intent in it\'s eyes.

"You seriously think that I don\'t know about it? You took one of the two boys. You don\'t think that I will just sit here and let you get your hands on the dimensional seeds….and it\'s time I pay you back for trying to make a move on my student..."

The words were only audible to the old demons and it made his face even more ugly.

Rayford looked suspiciously at the two of them who were staring at each other.

"You will have to pay dearly old man..." the professor said once again. But this time, his words were heard by everyone.

"You two kill him…"

But even after saying all that the Professor just took a back seat to watch as he ordered the Kingsman and Edwinson Lord do the dirty work for him.

"Don\'t look at me like that…..I need to maintain the barrier…." The professor said with a frown as he felt two pitiful gazes on himself.

…..

"That was close…." Wilson muttered as he looked at the barrier formed of formations behind. He didn\'t know whether it could slice apart people…..but if it could actually do, he was a hair\'s breadth away from getting sliced….

"Anyway, I should get going…." Wilson muttered as he looked towards the direction of the Auction Hall.

Smokes were rising in more places than one and sirens were ringing throughout the district.

….

On the other side….

Max and Werner clashed and battle continued to raze the nearby structure to the ground.

Max had assumed that it would turn out like this. He had already scared the nearby people away even before Werner arrived.

"You better go into your real form before you die…." Max said as he looked at Werner.

Werner\'s face looked grim. Both his arms had already gone through demonic transformation. Yet he was badly battered up.

His strength had been growing considerably after his transformation. He was somewhere at the mid level of Expert Tier.

He was definitely strongest among the Human Celestials….but Max wondered where he ranked among the 12 Stars.

He was sure that this guy was stronger than Eida whom Max had faced during the hijack incident.

"You are strong, but that doesn\'t mean you will get out alive….\'\' Werner said as he took out his transmitter. He had already called onto his trump card….

But the next moment, he saw formation rising up in the sky and his face turned grim.

"What now? I wonder who will be getting out alive now…." Max smiled before suddenly turning his head towards a particular direction.

That man was finally coming….

….

On the other side….

"Where did he go?" Lear frowned as he felt the aura of that menacing person moving away.

That person was the one who had given orders to hold Lear and the narcissist captive….

"It\'s time…"

Lear turned to look at the Narcissist whose gaze had suddenly turned serious.

The next minute the enchanted ropes which had been holding him snapped with a little bit of force.

Lear couldn\'t help but gasp for a second before coming to a realization. The rope enchanted with a formation to seal mana flow….but these broken guys didn\'t have mana to begin with….

"So, you didn\'t need my help to begin with?"

Lear turned his voice on hearing the childish voice and saw Bahanut standing there. He was dragging the two guys who were supposed to be keeping watch on the captives...

"This unsightly being needs your help…" the silver haired guy said as he gently brushed his hair upwards.

"I am gonna kill you first…" Lear glared at him. It was this guys fault that he was here in the first place…

Bahamut looked at Lear in disgust. It was obvious he didn\'t like how Lear\'s legs were tied up in a certain position…

"Don\'t look at me like that!!!"

"And why the hell do you know so much at an early age?!!!"

Lear\'s scream alerted the people nearby and Bahamut immediately helped him get out of the mess.

"You take care of them…...we can\'t be dealing with these people and that menacing man at the same time…" the silvered haired guy said as he looked at Lear.

Lear looked at him and nodded. He knew that it must be Max who had somehow managed to get that person away. He didn\'t have any proof but it felt like something Max would do.

The least he could do now is lessen his burden and make these people accompany him.

After all, he was nowhere near their level to even be able to stand by their side and fight…..but only for now….

\'Next time….I won\'t be weaker than them…..\' Lear clenched his fist.

"Let\'s hurry up, we can\'t let him die…."

Bahamut nodded. As they were about to leave….

"Let me make a path for you…" Lear spoke.

Clattering noises began to rang throughout the area and soon platforms made of metal chunks began to float in the air.

It went a long way into the dark night.

Bahamut looked at Lear and nodded in appreciation. Unlike Max, they couldn\'t fly. This area was filled with enemies if they wanted to walk out, it meant clashing with them.

It would definitely have wasted a bit of their time….but now….

"Let\'s...go…" Bahamut made a leap and landed on the platforms before dashing through the dark sky.

"Well, it seems you do have a brain to complement your lack of appearance…" the narcissist said with a smile.

Lear tried to take it as a compliment but it still didn\'t fit well with him. He decided to kill this guy later…

As the duo left….

Lear turned around, "Now then….bring it on…."
