Chapter 638 - Clash

Chapter 638 - Clash

"You really wanna do this kid?" Freya glared at Max as mana began to fluctuate around her. It began to slowly climb up until it reached the peak stage of Expert Tier before finally breaking into the initial stages of Master Tier with a bang.

She was hiding her strength.

"We can talk this out if you explain to me what\'s going on," Max looked at her with a calm gaze. If she wanted to give it a go, he sure wouldn\'t mind it. He wasn\'t afraid of her. She wasn\'t Murcas after all.

"Hmph! Do you think confidential information could be leaked so easily? You better get out of my way or you will regret it."

"Then make me…" Max looked at her as his gaze turned serious, and his spear came flying right into his hands.

"It\'s too late to regret now, kid." Freya moved, and her figure immediately disappeared. She was fast even with that huge broadsword in her hands.

In an instant, she appeared right in front of Max and veins popped up on her arms as she tightly gripped her sword and swung it around.

"Whoosh!"

A huge gale was immediately kicked in as the sword came crashing towards his side. There was definitely a terrifying amount of power behind it. Even Max wouldn\'t come unscathed out of it if hit.

She was definitely strong.

But, Max was not someone easy to deal with as well. His wings immediately unfurled and he used the wind to glide behind dodging the attack.

"Tsk!" Freya clicked her tongue in dissatisfaction as she pushed her feet into the ground before shooting towards Max in a chase, "You are not going anywhere!"

"You sure about that.." Max smiled as his hand\'s lit up in flames and Freya\'s eyes turned grim.

"Flare!"

"Boom!"

A huge mushroom of fire exploded into the night sky. And, this time, the people of the city realized that something was going for sure. There were just too many coincidences of fires and chaos occurring around the city at the same time. That definitely sounded unbelievable.

Max landed on the ground with the flames raging around in the area. His body was still half lit in flames as he stared at the flames which had engulfed Freya in it.

"Bang!"

Suddenly an intense gale once again kicked in as the flames around were immediately blasted away and disappeared in an instant as if they had never appeared in the first place.

Max\'s eyes immediately constricted as he looked at Freya who had transformed. Scales had appeared all around body and two wings had extended out of her back.

\'So, she is a Beastmen as well…\' Max muttered inwardly. He was expecting it honestly. Murcas was a Dragon type Beastmen so it wasn\'t surprising if his sister had similar ability as well.

"You are not bad, but you have enraged me now. You better defend yourself and not die, kid." Freya pointed her broadsword at Max as her beast-like eyes tried to strike fear into his heart.

"You really gonna be like this?" Max asked as he looked at her, "I was trying to go easy on you because you were Murcas\'s sister."

"Huh?" Freya broke out in laughter. She really was not prepared for that joke. It was too sudden.

"Why don\'t you show me your seriousness then?" She asked with a smile while looking at him.

"I was planning to do so," Max muttered in a calm tone as his hairs began to flutter and spirit energy began to surround his body.

"Domain!"

"Bang!"

Axel brought his gun down as he looked at the guy on the ground. They had been looking for that b*stard but there was no sign of him anywhere around. It was as if he had disappeared in thin air.

"Flare!"

He turned his head to look at Erina on the other side, who was really going at it and beating people while taking her anger out.

"Bang!"

The last guy was sent flying with a kick and fell lifelessly in the distance. It was only then that Erina retracted her flames and turned around to look at Axel, "Did you find anything?"

"No, no information about him." Axel shook his head.

"Should we head back then?" She asked, looking at him. If Neo wasn\'t here, it was better to just go back and support Max.

"No, we still have one place to look at." Axel continued to walk forward and Erina followed behind him.

"Where?" She couldn\'t help, but ask him with a frown.

"Don\'t you see it below? Someone has to be controlling it.." Axel calmly said to her.

"Below?" Erina looks at the ground in confusion. She couldn\'t understand what he was trying to say here. "What are you talking about?"

Axel sighed before stopping. He then looked at her and infused mana in his feet before stomping it on the ground.

"Bang!"

Dust scattered a bit and an impression of his shoe was left in the ground. There was nothing else in there.

As Erina was about to complain, a strange sight suddenly emerged in front of her eyes. The ground beneath suddenly lit up as a ripple spread through Axle as an epicenter and it made all the formations beneath visible to naked eyes for a second a as the ripples spread through the ground.

"You just need to use your mana properly to sense these things," Axel said to her before continuing to move again.

Erina looked at the ground a bit more before looking at Axle and catching up to him.

….

"Crackle!"

"Shnk!"

Wilson pulled his hands out of the man\'s chest as he himself staggered behind with blood rushing up his throat. There were several cuts on his body, and some of them were serious.

"Thud!"

The man in front of him collapsed to the ground with wide eyes. He definitely hadn\'t imagined dying at the hands of someone so young.

"Give it up kid! It will do you no good. Just give her to us.." One of the men spoke in a threatening tone as he looked at Wilson. But, he didn\'t dare to close in after witnessing that. He knew that the kid was crazy.

Wilson had fought a bloody battle. There were two people among the enemies lying on the ground. Both of them were Expert Tier Mages and were dead now. One could understand just how dangerous it must have been as Wilson himself was at Expert Tier and he was fighting two people at the same level as him.

He surely wasn\'t in a condition two go on anymore.

"Where the f*ck is he?" Wilson muttered as his eyes turned a bit blurry.

"Tsk...if you want to die so badly, then be it.." The man seemed to have finally lost his patience, and didn\'t care about Wilson\'s identity anymore. And, he directly went for a killing blow as he prepared to hurl his spell at Wilson.

But, before he could do so, a blade made of lightning pierced his chest and he turned his head behind to look at his teammate in horror.

"I can\'t watch from the sidelines anymore it seems…" A feminine voice sound came out from the guy\'s mouth and the next instant, the disguise fell revealing Caira beneath it.

She was Bahamut\'s follower, and the granddaughter of the Grand Elder of Roxley House.

"Bang!"

Lightning exploded through her hand inside the man\'s body exploding him into pieces. She sure was brutal for a beauty.

The people around couldn\'t help but take a couple of steps in fear. Her entrance sure had stuck fear in their hearts.

Caira appeared in front of Wilson and smiled looking at him, who really had no idea about what was going around.

"I will take it over from here…"
