The Sacred Ruins

Chapter 462: Chu Feng Must Die

In the Eastern Sea, snow white waves charged towards the sky and clapped like thunder.

There were battleships densely packed throughout the sky. The smallest measured several tens of meters long, while the largest was several hundred meters long. It hid the sky and covered the earth like a thicket of steel.

This was only part of the outer space and the real great warships have yet to come, or the scene would’ve been even more formidable.

Boom!

A ray of light shone down, piercing through the protective shield of the big multi-colored ship on the sea. The beam landed on the ship, followed immediately by a distressing scream.

There were splashes of blood and the deck of the boat exploded into pieces. The entire multi-colored ship swayed fiercely.

On the boat, green smoke rose from a large hole with a broken jade table to the side of it. Underneath the table’s legs laid a bloodied silver turtle. There was a large crack in its shell and was almost punctured.

At this time, the turtle growled and grimaced in pain; it was almost dead.

Chu Feng also groaned, the corners of his mouth bearing blood stains. He tilted his head up to stare at the sky, then performed a spatial leap once again.

Before he left, he saw that the red light on the attacking battleship had dimmed rapidly. With a loud rumble, it then disintegrated into pieces and was destroyed in midair.

It had forcefully entered the Earth and was constantly using up its holy blood shield. The attack just then had also led it to the point of its destruction.

Chi!

Chu Feng and the others disappeared soundlessly.

Li Lin had not been wounded but she wore a distracted expression. The Sword Saint Duanmu had come and now that he knew of her situation, could he possibly save her? How would the rest of the sect see her after they found out?

Up in the sky, the densely packed battleships were liaising with each other. Stern orders were passed down; they could kill Chu Feng but were not allowed to harm the woman and the silver turtle.

If not, all of the machine race would perish!

The large multi-colored ship materialized in another part of the waters. Chu Feng wiped the blood off of the corner of his mouth. He knew that an unprecedented crisis was about to occur.

Under normal circumstances, it would’ve been difficult for him to survive, and he would’ve died without a proper burial site.

This time, he didn’t traverse through space. Instead drove the large ship, braving the wind and waves as he sailed upon the Eastern Sea.

"You all must pay the price of blood if you want me to die!" A stone from Mount Eternal in his hand, he was sensing the demon race’s supreme secret lands.

Finally, he sensed it and approached it with speed. The large ship cut through the waves and rapidly approached.

Earlier, regardless of whether it was the saint’s blood or the golden bodhisattva relics, they had all been absorbed by Mount Eternal. Now he wanted to use the characteristics of this forbidden area to deal with the battleships that had filled the sky.

If it was indeed effective, it would certainly be very tragic for the Machine race. They would lose their minds when they suffer the loss of so many troops.

At the rear, numerous closely packed battleships appeared. As expected, they had caught up with Chu Feng. They had locked onto him and denied him access to both heaven and hell.

Outside the Earth, the three great saints couldn’t sense Mount Eternal, but could only feel there was something strange about that part of the sea.

As for those on the origin beast platform, they were even more powerless. They couldn’t capture any abnormalities and could only see Chu Feng’s multi-colored ship exuding greenish-black smoke with blood on its deck as it proceeded through the ocean.

People became aware that this time Chu Feng’s blood would likely stain this area of the sea, and that it would be hard for him to persevere through it.

Finally, the commentator started to talk. Before this, he had kept his mouth shut and didn’t dare comment as a saint was involved in the matter.

"It seems as though this young man named Chu Feng has reached the end of his life. This story will likely conclude within this great ocean."

Several renowned guests also nodded in succession. As if relieved from a burden, they all breathed a sigh of relief.

One elder opened his mouth and said, "I must stress once again, the dignity of a saint must not be affronted. All who do so will die, and all will come to an end."

"This youngster is quite brave, but he cannot be commended. Affronting a saint is a great sin in itself, and now after all is said and done, he is headed for his own doom," commented another renowned guest.

Many on the origin beast platform, felt that it was a shame. Someone who dared to challenge the prestige of the saints was hard to come by but must die in the end.

The saints were unmatched and inflexible. Sure enough, they belonged to another world; the saints sat in the vault of heaven, hidden from primal chaos. One could only look up at them and mustn’t affront them.

However, what happened in the next moment startled everyone and their eyes widened in shock.

Even the commentator’s pupils dilated in horror.

As for the guests, one of them shook so hard that he tore off his own beard. They all stared unwaveringly at the horrifying scene.

After the densely packed battleships appeared in the Eastern Sea, they didn’t open fire immediately as they didn’t want to harm the other two. There were Jun Tuo’s descendants on the large multi-colored ship, as well as the person Sword Saint Duanmu was looking for.

As they pressed on, many members of the Machine race also appeared. Wielding terrifying long swords and poised to capture Chu Feng alive.

Yet when they did approach this part of the sea, matters which frightened them occurred. The red light on all the battleships diminished quickly and their dark red sacred glow began to disappear.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The several hundred battleships above these waters completely disintegrated like a dazzling blossom of fireworks. It was exceptionally brilliant and shook the entire world.

As for the Machine clan, they had burst into pieces and fallen apart. Some were made of metal and reached several tens of meters tall, while others were only as big as a palm. Yet now they had all come to the same end, their bodies torn and their bones crushed.

Four hundred battleships and airships had all exploded. This warped space as the ships carried a terrifying amount of energy, enough to pierce a hole through this part world.

At the same time, there were even more things like small-scale detectors rattling incessantly like firecrackers as they all exploded.

In the distance, Mount Eternal was like a prehistoric monster who had just woken from hibernation. It greedily devoured and absorbing all of the sacred blood until not a drop remained. As a result, the battleships lost their protection and were thoroughly obliterated by the domains.

Some of the energy from the explosions were absorbed by the domain, while some were drawn into Mount Eternal.

In the end, the entire steel army had completely collapsed. Nothing remained and it had been completely decimated.

The scene was horrifying and made one’s blood run cold.

There was a deathly silence upon the origin beast platform. Before, they had found it amusing watching Chu Feng act all goofy, but now the destruction of the pack of densely packed battleships alarmed them greatly.

Doubtlessly, if there were no accidents, such a group of battleships could sufficiently invade a vital star. Yet now it had been completely wiped out.

The commentator produced a shout; his mouth and tongue were dry. "What an inconceivable result!"

The renowned guests were likewise stunned, swallowing their saliva with difficulty as their Adam’s apples moved. Once again they had made mistakes in their predictions. The native was still alive and had unexpectedly managed to crush the flock of battleships.

The one disrespectful to the saints hadn’t died!

"What a miracle! I thought he would die, but in the end, he managed to live!"

"Such an incredible battle accomplishment. It’s just like a legend that one man can wipe out a whole fleet of battleships!"

Those upon the origin beast platform were exuberant. Such an outcome had exceeded everyone’s expectations, and could only be described as a miracle.

In the Eastern Sea, Chu Feng raised his head and looked up at the sky with blood on the corner of his mouth. He said, "Jun Tuo you old tortoise. Come out if you have the ability. This grandpa just won’t die! You cuckold! Duanmu, you softie! You’re so weak and indirect even when pursuing after the woman you love. Go and cry! I heard the hundred transformations saint has come too. You mongrel! Back then, as a heavenly knight, you wouldn’t even let the women and the children off. One day, this daddy here will skin you and dice you up to feed the stray dogs!"

Chu Feng rebuked angrily, raining curses on them.

Outside the Earth, the three great saints wore gloomy expressions and the two dao children dared not to speak a single word.

The Nine Yin Sparrow broke out a cold sweat. This time he still couldn’t kill Chu Feng and he got the goosebumps as Chu Feng cursed the saints.

Jun Tuo, Duanmu, and the others had come forth as the heir of the saints’ had fallen into the hands of Chu Feng. As a result, their dignity had been looked down upon. Ultimately this was an outcome originating from the Nine Yin Sparrow’s mandate.

As such he now had a guilty conscience and felt incredibly distressed. He didn’t know what to do and was afraid he would get involved when the scores were settled.

Those on the origin beast platform were petrified and there was a long deathly silence. For many years there hadn’t been anyone who had dared to curse and swear at the saints.

Everyone quivered. No one was brave enough to follow in suit and swear at the saints. It was nothing much to jeer on earlier, but now they didn’t dare to go along with it as they were afraid it would bring the destruction of their entire race.

Outside of the Earth, Jun Tuo sat cross-legged in the chariot. The surging primal chaos reflected his inner restlessness.

"This native must die!" he said.

Since the ancient war, he had been recuperating in seclusion. Presently, he had returned to the world mustering large forces to revisit this old haunt. As a saint, he couldn’t stand being humiliated on the planet he had once conquered.

Under normal circumstances, as soon as a saint uttered such words no one would survive and they would inevitably die.

In the Eastern Sea Chu Feng raised his head abruptly as he heard Jun Tuo’s words.

Then, carrying a treasured pestle, he came to the silver tortoise and violently slammed it against its tortoiseshell. With a boom, the tortoise’s back was split open and blood flew out in all directions.

This was the saintess Li Lin’s strongest secret treasure which had fallen into his hands. Its power was peerless.

Had the silver tortoise not withdrawn its head back into its shell, its skull would’ve been directly smashed and it would’ve died on the spot.

Boom!

At this moment, the surface of the ocean ruptured and out flew several figures. The waves rose several thousand meters tall and surged towards the heaven’s vault.

Four members of the Machine race had survived and passed the test of the Earth’s domains. In addition, there was a human with his physical body undamaged.

They glared harshly at Chu Feng!

In the outer realms, there were some from the Machine race reporting to the saint Jun Tuo, informing him of the Machine race’s destruction. There were other races on board the battleships too, such as the early Xilin army!

As the Hundred Transformations Saint Yuwen Chenkong listened on, his pupils became muddled and a cold smile stretched from the corners of his mouth. How could he not know of the Xilin army from his days of being a star knight?

Once one of the Earth’s troops, they had betrayed their own home planet in the end. Complete traitors, they had followed them in suppressing their own compatriots.

Nowadays, the Xilin army had their own planet and had great power. After all, they were a strong squad from the 11th-ranked planet. Furthermore, they had been protected by a heaven illuminating expert. The "survivors" from those days had tried many times to attack them but had ended up returning in low spirits and suffering great losses after being defeated. In addition, there was a saint within the Xilin army!

"We believe that the Xilin army’s pure-blood descendants are also a continuation of this planet’s bloodline, and can easily obtain its will’s approval. Hence we cooperated with them. Though now it seems as though the effect isn’t desirable as only one person has managed to survive and descend. But we still have other result achievements from excavating relics on other planets such as Mars and Neptune. We’ve discovered partly intact corpses and are preparing to make use of them, perhaps by sending them to Earth!"

The leader of the Machine race reported thus.

This was because those very corpses were once forebears of those on Earth.

A Xilin leader had also arrived. His standing was rather high and he was potent in strength, having attained the level of golden arhat. He too reported some affairs here.

Jun Tuo nodded and said, "Very well. Kill that native regardless of the price we have to pay and disregard my descendant." Moreover, he decided to continue protecting them with holy blood.

Another fleet of battleships charged towards the Earth from the outer realms.

...

Now those in the Eastern Sea had severed the paths between Chu Feng and Mount Eternal, obstructing his progression.

Simultaneously, several of them pressed forward. These were evolvers of the highest level within the carefree realm.

Chu Feng wanted to enter Mount Eternal by performing a spatial leap but had failed in the end. This region was incredibly bizarre and wouldn’t allow for space jumping.

He frowned. There were five experts ahead blocking his path and his monastic robe was, unexpectedly, still on cooldown; it still had a long time to go. Unable to fight recklessly, he could only retreat with a sigh.

If not, with those five top-notch experts from the carefree realm joining hands, it would be easy for them to kill him.

"I must breakthrough and advance into the carefree realm!" He turned and left.

Very quickly, he halted, terrified. In the sky, there were several hundred battleships packed closely together. Forces from the outer realms were once again hunting him down, and he was truly distressed.

Such desperate straits!

It would be even more dangerous to directly flee into the distance. Chu Feng clenched his teeth. Only Mount Eternal was relatively safe. Should he force his way in?

Directing the multi-colored battleship, he charged forward.

Of the five people blocking his path, four were experts from the Machine race. Their metal glistened with a cold luster and they held swords measuring dozens of meters long within their grasps. Their blades had a dazzling gleam as well as a sinister killing intent.

The Xilin army’s descendent sneered mercilessly and callously as he began to charge!

Bang bang bang...

The battleship was damaged earlier and its light shield wasn’t intact. At this moment, Chu Feng was being attacked, the cold gleam of blades intertwining as they slashed towards him.

He growled, wanting to fight back and crash his way through this area.

Pop!

In the end, he failed to break out of the siege. His lower abdomen was cut by a stream of blade intent. Blood splattered out as he sustained serious injuries.

The Xilin army’s descendent laughed grimly. With a point of his finger, a dazzling purple beam flew out which pierced through Chu Feng’s chest. Blood spewed out from both his front and back.

"This is our home planet’s Eastern Purple Mist Finger. Don’t you know it?" He laughed ruthlessly.

Chu Feng couldn’t break through. Those people were approaching as fast as lightning and were about to reach the ship.

Chu Feng sighed lightly. Without the Equality of All Life domain in his monastic robe, there was indeed a big difference between him and those at the carefree realm. There was no way he could battle them.

He steered the battleship, turning it around to escape.

As he departed from that area he directly conducted a spatial leap and disappeared.

Boom!

The waters behind him surged upwards as the five experts generated a soaring wave with a single full blow.

"Kill him!"

Someone from the fleet of battleships commanded. All of them chased after Chu Feng to surround him.

"Defend this sea region and don’t let him near!" Someone commanded.

King Chu drove the large multi-colored ship, trying to flee.

The next instant, the order to pursue and eliminate Chu Feng echoed across the Earth. Anyone who discovered and supplied clues related to Chu Feng would be rewarded with three mutant fruits which allowed them to advance into the carefree realm!

The order to kill swept through all directions!

"Chu Feng must die!"

On the same day in Penglai, an expert led a group of people in response, stating that Chu Feng was a calamity upon the planet. He had once barged into Penglai in a vain attempt to seize their orthodoxy’s sacred possessions. Now those from Penglai’s orthodoxy had ventured out, aspiring to capture and kill without mercy!
